Charlie began his illustrious radio career in 1989 working as a board operator/producer at CHAA FM in St. Lambert, Quebec, a city on the "South Shore" of Montreal. From 1991-1993 he worked as a Disc Jockey at college station WXUT FM while attending the University of Toledo, Ohio. He landed his first paid radio gig running the board weekend over-nights at WVKS FM in Toledo in 1992.

Charlie Profit [nee Charles Bosworth] was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 18, 1970. The only child between his parents, he is the youngest of seven siblings; Three half-brothers and three half-sisters. He says his parents were "nomads" because they moved around throughout his childhood. From Ohio to New Mexico, Quebec to North Carolina, Charlie grew up experiencing life and making friends all over the United States, and Canada. He graduated high school in 1988 from Centennial Regional in Greenfield Park, Quebec. As a young adult he continued his travels and lived in New York State, Washington State, Ohio, Utah, and Nevada.
